Blodeuwedd is one of the most tragic and powerful figures in Welsh mythology, as told in Y Mabinogi. Conjured from flowers by two wizards to love a man cursed never to find love, she defied her fate, falling for another and plotting her husband’s death. As punishment, she was transformed into an owl, a symbol of sorrow and solitude.
