Twenty-four-year-old Nhial Deng spent nearly half his life in a refugee camp. He arrived alone at the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya at the age of 11. In the camp, Nhial set up a safe space for other refugees dealing with trauma, and empowered some 20,000 refugees through educational and leadership programmes.
